Community Grid

As a stakeholder representing the residents that live near the potential construction plans for I-81. We believe the community grid would be the best plan to reconstruct our current viaduct that cannot hold its function for much longer. The community grid will replace the current viaduct with street level urban arterial. We believe this layout will bring more opportunities to be closer with the surrounding community. Out of the 3 ideas of how to rreplace the viaduct the community grid is the cheapest option of $1.3 billion that the Federal Highway Administration will provide 80% of funds for the project.
